Vittel, France - Alban Lakata (Dolphin-Trek) finished second in the first stage of the 2008 Tour de France for mountainbikers. The first stage was a short 7km time trial. Winner was German rider Moritz Milatz (Multivan-Merida) and third was Silvio Bundi (Giant). Since the Tour de France for mountainbikers is team related race and the Dolphin-Trek team was unable to sent a complete team due to Olympics, therefore Lakata is a guest member of an Australian mix team.Lakata will be wearing the green points jersey in today's stage: a 51km cross country race in and around Vittel.
