Schladming (Austria), September 2008 - The end of the World Cup season is there. On a harsh course, battered by rain in the days before, the Dolphin-Trek riders have finished their 2008 World Cup season. Rudi van Houts worked his way up to a strong 23rd position and "local" Alban Lakata came in as 28th in the race. Tim Wijnants had a stroke of bad luck; his derailleur was smashed in the 2nd round and as a result he had to run half a lap and was forced to give up. Katrin Schwing had a tough race and only made it to 33rd. Christoph Sauser was victorious, followed closely by Jose Antonio Hermida and surprising third was Ivan Alvarez. In the women's race, it was Maja Wloszczowska who rode away from Irina Kalentieva in the final lap, third was Marie-Helene Premont.
