Schladming, Austria - Dolphin-Trek biker Rudi van Houts crashed during the race in which he still managed to finish 23rd overall. At first sight, his knee injury looked alike an innocent cut which only required a few stitches. It turned out to be much worse than expected as his knee had suffered some more damage. Van Houts has been transported to the Salzburg hosiptal to undergo surgery straight away. We hope to have more news in the next days and will keep everybody up to date about the Dolphin-Trek biker's recovery.
UPDATE 22.09.2008: The surgery for Rudi's knee went ok. He will have to rest completely for the next two weeks and then start a recovery program. As it looks now the 2008 season is therefore finished for Van Houts.
